Chiropractic Adjustments
Spinal manipulation, or chiropractic adjustment, is the manual, hands-on method for chiropractors to treat problems with the musculoskeletal system. It is commonly used to provide relief to patients experiencing back and neck pain. The practice involves the chiropractor expertly applying quick, gentle thrusts of varying speed and force to the spinal joints that are causing problems. Performed correctly, it reduces pain and improves mobility. Other chronic problems benefit from regular treatments at weekly to monthly intervals in order to maintain mobility and pain relief. Because each pain problem is different, Dr. Buberniak will work with you to help you reach your goals, combining his expertise with the best medical research available.

X-Ray
Most patients will require spinal x-rays at the very beginning of care. Fortunately, we have the technology to do this right in our office, and the x-rays will be processed as you are oriented to our practice! The cost of the x-rays depends on the size and quantity of x-ray plates needed; usually at least 2 plates are required. Small plates are $35.00 and large plates are $50.00.
Tables
Some of our patients might find relief from using one of our therapy tables as well. The aqua table delivers a powerful, kneading massage over the entire contact surface of the body. The Intersegmental Roller Table serves to counteract fatigue and stress that builds from resisting gravitational forces. It uses a ventral force applied by a rolling massage action that is continuously moving up and down the spine.

What Can I Expect?
Prior to treatment, Dr. Buberniak will consult with his patient to understand their concerns. He will then examine any areas of pain, and may even take spinal x-rays (performed in the office) to help diagnose your problem. Dr. Buberniak will then explain your diagnosis and individualized treatment plan. When all of your questions are answered, you can decide whether or not to get started with chiropractic care that same day.
The actual adjustment starts with your doctor using his hands to feel your spine motion. The chiropractor detects joints in the spine that are not moving correctly, the level of muscle tension, and areas that may be painful with local swelling/ inflammation. Your chiropractor then applies a series of gentle, short thrusts of the joints in the right direction of motion.
The immediate effect is a release of pain suppressing neurological chemicals, improved muscular support of the area, and an increase of the joint’s range of motion. Depending on the nature of the problem, the frequency and quantity of treatments will vary. Some patients experience relief after just one treatment. Others enjoy cumulative benefits, as they move through a course of daily or weekly chiropractic treatments to reach their pain relief goal.

Service Fees
We understand that our patients have individual health care goals. Some patients only want relief care, even if that means that their relief is only temporary. Other clients want relief on a more permanent basis, by correcting the cause of their problem. No matter what your goal is, we have a care program designed to fit whatever type of care you choose.
For patients with insurance we will bill your insurance carrier for services provided.
Uninsured patients will be automatically be enrolled in our “pay as-you-go program” for the first month of visits. Under this program, payment is expected at the time of service. A standard office visit is $45. After the first month of care, you will be eligible to join an elective maintance care program, which is very popular among our patients..
